What we hold,
and what we never show.

We collect what it takes to seat you at a good table and nothing beyond it. No advertising profiles, no resale, no third-party trackers. Here is the whole of it.

01

What we collect

Your name, email, mobile number, and city. Your quiz answers and the five-dimension profile we derive from them. A government-issued photo ID, checked once before your first dinner.

After each night: which members you would sit with again. Standard server logs and basic analytics on the site.

02

Why we collect it

To build tables. Your quiz profile decides who you sit with; your city decides where; your number is how the invitation reaches you. ID verification exists so that nobody at your table is anonymous. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.

03

Your ID, specifically

Your ID is used once, to confirm you are who you say you are. It is stored encrypted, never shown to other members, never printed on anything, and never used for marketing.

Ask us and we will delete the image after verification, keeping only a note that verification passed.

04

Who sees what

Other members at your table see your first name and one line about you. They never see your surname, number, email, age, photo, ID, or quiz scores.

Venues receive a first name and a headcount. Nothing else. Your “see again” answers are never shown to anyone but us.

05

Third parties we use

Vercel hosts the site. Web3Forms delivers contact-form messages. Razorpay processes payments and holds your card or UPI mandate — we never see or store full card details.

Each processes data only to provide that service. We add new processors only where necessary and will list them here.

06

How long we keep it

Membership data for as long as you are a member, and for one year after you cancel so you can return without redoing the quiz. Payment records for as long as tax law requires. ID images until verification completes, or immediately on request.

07

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold on you, correct anything wrong, or have it deleted. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. Deletion ends your membership, since we cannot seat someone we hold no record of.

You can opt out of anything non-essential — the invitation itself is the service, so that one stays.

08

Contact

Write to hello@goodstrangers.co with anything about your data. A person reads it, and we will tell you plainly what we hold rather than sending you a form.
